Mercy Willard and Tiffin Hospitals Select MEDS for Emergency Dep

MEDS has been selected to provide emergency department staffing and management services for Mercy Willard Hospital and Mercy Tiffin Hospital in northern Ohio. Both hospitals are members of Mercy, a seven hospital system in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan, and part of Catholic Healthcare Partners, one of the largest nonprofit health systems in the U.S.
"MEDS' commitment to excellence in patient care and to the operational success of the emergency departments it serves has enabled it to build a 27-year record of success in enhancing emergency department performance," said Dale Thornton, chief executive officer of Mercy Tiffin Hospital. "Many of the hospitals MEDS serves are similar in size and geography to Mercy Willard and Tiffin, so we believe MEDS is the right choice for Mercy, and we're very excited to begin working with them on quality and patient satisfaction initiatives."
The Willard and Tiffin emergency departments receive approximately 11,000 and 17,000 visits per year, respectively.
