Philosophy
The management philosophy of Midwest Emergency Department Services (MEDS) has always been, and will continue to be, to provide our hospitals with a level of service that is immediately responsive to the needs of the hospital. MEDS emphasizes a team approach to Emergency Department Management. Emergency services development and management is a very complex and inter-related entity. Multiple departments, organizations, and individual personnel must work in smooth, cooperative efforts in order to provide high quality patient care. We believe no single person or department is any more or less important to the effective operation of the department. Leadership
Twenty-three years of successful emergency department management, led by Emergency Medicine, board certified physicians. Dr. William Cruzen and Dr. Len Glover, the owners of Midwest Emergency Department Services, are practicing, career Emergency Medicine physicians. Their ability to manage Emergency Department quality assurance, budgets, MEDS physicians, and the Emergency Departments themselves is due to their combined 30 years of active Emergency Medicine management. This hands-on approach gives MEDS a unique perspective in the recruiting of physicians for a particular facility, as well as being a contributing factor to the loyalty MEDS enjoys from the administration and professional staff of the hospitals with whom we contract.

The MEDS management team creates professional relationships with hospital counterparts and administration. It is our goal to establish a true management team at our contracted facilities, to address the needs of the community, the hospital, and the patients. The owners and support staff of MEDS are always available to you, to address any needs or concerns that may arise. We are professional, have vast experience in emergency department management, yet have remained small so that our level of commitment and service are not lost in layers of management. We bring a high level of personal attention and commitment to each of our hospitals.
